Welcome to the new blog for The Lenci Doll Collector website. Its several years now since I started The Lenci Doll Collector website at lenci-dolls.com. When  started I did not know much about making websites but I was driven by my desire to share the information I had gathered about the famous Lenci Dolls of Italy that were made in the 1920’s and 30’s, back in the Scavini years,when the earliest, rarest and most famous Lenci dolls were made.

There was a lack of information on the web so I decided to make a website. I had found an old Lenci Catalog with pages  I had never seen before – that was the Ars Lenci Ultime Novita Catalog of 1925  I began by learning to code some html and using notepad I put some basic pages together and still to this day the pages at lenci-dolls.com are all hand written using notepad. Generous fellow collectors donated copies of rare Lenci catalog pages and many others have shared their expertise and knowledge for which I am very grateful.

It is long overdue for me to add a wordpress blog using the latest wordpress technology so I can more easly add new content and site visitors can comment if they wish.
